Nick Pryor has a strong background in geospatial analysis and geosciences. Nick is currently working as a Principal Geospatial Analyst at Global Maritime, where they are involved in offshore wind farm projects and has successfully created a 3D workflow for Cable Burial Risk Assessments (CBRA) using Python and database geospatial analysis for automation and processing performance. Nick is also leading the development of web applications for exploring and analyzing geotechnical and geophysical data using open source technologies. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior GIS Analyst at Global Maritime and as a Spatial Analyst at Veolia. Nick has also held positions as a Senior Geoscientist and Geoscientist at RPS Energy, an Explorationist at PDF Limited, an MSc Geoscience student at Nexen Petroleum, and a Junior Geologist at PDF Limited. Nick started their career in 2009 and has continuously gained experience in their field.
Nick Pryor holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Petroleum Geoscience from Royal Holloway, University of London, which they obtained from 2009 to 2010. Prior to that, they completed their undergraduate studies at the University of Portsmouth, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc Hons) in Geology from 2006 to 2009. In addition to their academic background, Nick Pryor has obtained certifications including PCEP - Certified Entry-Level Python Programmer from the Python Institute, and Tableau Desktop Certified Associate from Tableau Software in June 2020.
