Derek Meche is an experienced telecommunications professional currently serving as Operations Manager at Global Data Systems since May 2022. As the Owner of Meche's Telecom since June 2005, Derek specializes in sales and service of legacy Nortel Networks systems and the design and installation of LAN cabling networks. Previous roles include Fiber Optics Technician at L U S Fiber, where responsibilities involved installation, repair, and troubleshooting of various network equipment, and Technician III at NextiraOne and WilTel Communications, focusing on Nortel Networks telecommunications equipment. Early in the career, Derek worked as a Telecommunications Technician at Lafayette General Medical Center, a Technician at Advanced Telephone Concepts, and an Installer at Point to Point Communications, demonstrating a broad range of technical expertise in both telecommunications and electronics.
