Līga Raita Rozentāle has extensive experience in the field of cybersecurity and defence policy. Līga Raita is currently a Member of the Board of Advisors for the EU Jean Monnet Network CYDIPLO - European Cyber Diplomacy project (2021), an ENISA Advisory Group 2020-2023 reserve expert for the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity (2020), a Global Cyber Alliance Strategic Advisory Committee member (2020), a Council Member for the Women4Cyber Foundation (2019), a Senior Director, European Governmental Affairs (Cyber and Defence) for Microsoft (2018-2020), a UN OEWG Delegate/Special Advisor to Latvian Delegation to the UN for the Latvian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2019), a Director, EU for the Global Cyber Alliance (2018), and an EU/NATO Counsellor- Cybersecurity Policy for the Latvian Permanent Representation to the European Union (2014-2018). Līga Raita also held the role of Senior Expert, Bilateral Cooperation for the Latvian Ministry of Defence (2011-2014) and Advisor to the State Secretary on Intelligence and Security Policy for the Ministry of Defence of Latvia (2003-2011).
Līga Raita Rozentāle began their education in 1994 at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, German and Commercial Studies in 1999. Līga Raita then went on to pursue a Master of Arts in International Policy Studies at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey, which they completed in 2001. In 2004, they were awarded a UN Fellowship on Disarmament from the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR). In October 2021, they obtained a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) certification from ISACA.
