Nicola Murphy has worked in a variety of roles in the design and development industry since 2016. Nicola began their career as a Freelance Website Developer for Andrew Morton Furniture in 2016, and then moved on to become a Furniture Designer for Luke Hughes in 2017. In 2019, they worked as a Designer and Project Coordinator for Luke Hughes, as well as a Design Academy Researcher for the Design Council. Nicola also took on a Freelance UI Designer role for Mood in 2021, and an Implementation Specialist role for Funraisin. Currently, they are a Product Designer for Globacap.
Nicola Murphy has an extensive education history. In 2021, they completed a UX and UI Design degree at Experience Haus. From 2015 to 2019, they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Furniture and Product Design from Nottingham Trent University. In 2020, they completed a Project Management Principles and Practices Specialisation from the University of California, Irvine Division of Continuing Education. Additionally, they obtained several certifications from SheCodes Workshops, Coursera, and Certiport - A Pearson VUE Business. From 2008 to 2015, they earned A Levels in Product Design, ICT, and Psychology from Coombe Girls School & Sixth Form. Nicola also earned a Certified Associate - Mechanical Design (CSWA) from the Solidworks Certification Center in 2017.
