Reed Mettler, SHRM-CP, has a diverse work experience spanning over 17 years. Reed currently serves as the Human Resources Director at Gloat, where they oversee HR functions, programs, and initiatives for global Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success segments. In this role, they also manage regional operations and recruitment teams, while coaching leadership and management to optimize team performance and enhance employee experience.

Prior to Gloat, Mettler held various positions at Soho House & Co. From 2016 to 2020, they served as the People & Development Regional Director, responsible for overseeing and delivering HR-related functions and programs for 700+ employees across four locations. Reed created and deployed engaging content and training material, developed a network of local department trainers, and approved course content to ensure compliance with legal and company requirements.

Mettler's work experience also includes roles such as People Experience Manager, Community Specialist, Long Term Substitute Teacher at Madison Elementary School District, Customer Service Team Lead at The Duck and Decanter, and an internship at the United Nations. In these roles, they demonstrated their skills in improving employee morale and engagement, training and developing staff, and contributing to international policy development.

Reed Mettler, SHRM-CP, holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Diplomacy and World Affairs with an emphasis in Human Rights and International Organizations from Occidental College, which was completed from 2005 to 2007. In 2012, they obtained a Certificate in Training Practice with an emphasis in Instruction and Enterprise Learning from New York University. Furthermore, Reed Mettler earned an Associate of Arts (AA) degree in Classical Studies and International Studies from Phoenix College, which they completed from 2003 to 2005. Additionally, Reed Mettler has obtained additional certifications such as LifeLabs Learning Community Builder from LifeLabs Learning and the SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) from SHRM.
