Zoo Division Leader | Director Of Operations at GLMV Architecture

Chris Kliewer, AIA, LEED AP has a diverse and extensive work experience in architecture. Chris started their career at WDM Architects P.A. in 2000, where they worked their way up from an architectural intern to partner in just eight years. As an associate principal, they managed various project types and teams. In 2011, they joined Cathcart Architects as an architect and project director, where they focused on project and business development, bringing a fresh perspective to the firm's design approach. In 2013, they joined LawKingdon Architecture as a project architect, specializing in hospitality design and managing projects nationwide. Chris also served as Chair of the USGBC CPC Wichita Branch, working towards establishing a permanent branch in Wichita. From 2013 to 2014, they served on the board of Arts Partners, Inc. In 2014, they joined GLMV Architecture as a Zoo Division Leader and Director of Operations, overseeing design production, job procurement, and financial efficiency for zoo projects across the country. Additionally, they served as the Downtown Alive Choir Section Leader at First United Methodist Church from 2014 to 2019. Chris Kliewer brings a wealth of experience and expertise in sustainable design to their work in the architecture industry.

Chris Kliewer, AIA, LEED AP obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Bethel College from 1993 to 1997. Following that, they pursued a Masters degree in Architecture from The University of Kansas, completing it from 1997 to 2000.
