Melissa De Oña has a diverse work experience in digital marketing and project management roles. Melissa started their career as a Project and Process Executive at Consultora de Proyectos Turisticos in 2010. Melissa then worked at B 6 Media as an SEO Department Social Media specialist for a brief period. From 2011 to 2019, they served as a Digital Marketing Manager & Project Manager at Marketing Nomads, gaining valuable experience in the field. In 2019, Melissa co-founded Care Overseas, where they took on the role of Co-Founder. Melissa also worked as a Digital Marketing Manager & Project Manager at Healthy Ventures during the same year. In 2018, they became an Independent Digital Marketing Consultant, specializing in Search Engine Optimization. Melissa joined Revmasters in 2020, first as a Search Engine Optimization Project Manager, and later as a Director Search Engine Optimization until 2021. Melissa then served as a Digital Marketing Director at Kam Lung Costa Rica for a few months in 2021. Currently, they work as the Search Engine Optimization Lead at GLIDE since 2022.
Melissa De Oña holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel Administration, which they obtained from Universidad Latina de Costa Rica in the years 2006 to 2010. Melissa is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Marketing from the same institution, with an expected completion date in 2023. Additionally, Melissa has obtained certifications in Quip Foundations from Quip and Inbound Certification from HubSpot. Melissa has also received a Six Sigma Green Belt (CSSGB) certification from PSX GLOBAL.
