Emily Olsen has a diverse work experience, starting with their most recent role as a Designer at Glen Raven, where they began in April 2020. Prior to that, they worked as a Junior Designer at Scott Group Studio from March 2019 to March 2020. Emily also had experience as a Peer Tutor at Philadelphia University from January to December 2018.

In terms of internships, Emily was a Design Intern at Glen Raven in the summer of 2018 and a Design Intern at Sunbury Textile Mills from May to August 2017. Emily also gained experience at The Fabric Workshop and Museum as a Spinner and Unraveler in September and October 2016.

Prior to their design and creative roles, Emily held positions at The Scholarship Foundation of St. Louis as a Lead Merchandiser from October 2014 to August 2016. Emily was responsible for pricing and displaying donated clothing, as well as managing a mobile fashion truck.

Emily also worked at Pulitzer Arts Foundation as a Gallery Assistant and Office Assistant from February 2010 to October 2014. In this role, they provided visitor assistance, led tours, and supported various departments. Additionally, they gained experience at Historic Hanley House as a Summer Museum Supervisor in June and August 2014, where they conducted tours and assisted with summer camps.

Lastly, Emily had a Curatorial Internship at Loyola University Museum of Art from October 2008 to December 2009. Emily conducted research, wrote object labels, and provided collections management support. Emily also played a role in exhibition planning and curation.

Emily Olsen completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Art History from Loyola University Chicago, where they studied from 2004 to 2008. Later, from 2016 to 2018, they pursued a Master's Degree in Textile Design at Philadelphia University.
