Bruce Hong has worked in a variety of roles since 2015. Bruce began their career as an Intern at TakingITGlobal in 2015. In 2016, they worked as a Bartender at Bubble Republic Tea Shop. In 2018, they were a Software Developer at Finastra, where they implemented multi-tenancy in several RESTful microservices using Node.js/Express, NoSQL and AMQP, designed and developed customizable logging and middleware injection modules for AMQP using Node.js and RxJS, coordinated with DevOps to create microservice scaffolds, and implemented new integration testing strategies with Mocha/Chai and Microsoft Cosmos SQL API. In 2019, they worked as a Software Developer at Secret Mission Software. In 2020, they were a Software Engineering Intern at Pixlee. In 2021, they were a Software Engineer Intern at both Tophatter and Pencil Spaces. Currently, they are a Software Engineer at Glean.

Bruce Hong began their post-secondary education in 2017, attending both the University of Waterloo and Wilfrid Laurier University. At the University of Waterloo, they pursued a Bachelor of Computer Science (BCS) degree in Computer Science. At Wilfrid Laurier University, they pursued a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Business Administration and Management, General. Bruce is expected to complete both degrees in 2022.
