Ehsan Mesbahi is currently serving as the Provost and Deputy Vice Chancellor at Glasgow Caledonian University since August 2023. Previously, Ehsan held various significant positions at Victoria University of Wellington, including Pro Vice Chancellor for the Faculties of Science, Health, Engineering, Architecture, and Design Innovation, and was actively involved in several board roles, such as member of the Board of Trustees for the Research Trust and the Board of Directors for Wellington UniVentures. Ehsan served as Vice Principal and Pro Vice Chancellor at the University of the West of Scotland from January 2016 to March 2020, with a focus on Academic and Research and Enterprise portfolios. Ehsan's extensive academic career includes a long tenure at Newcastle University, where Ehsan held roles from Executive Dean to Professor, with specializations in Marine Informatics. Ehsan's educational background includes advanced studies at Harvard Business School and multiple degrees from Newcastle University, culminating in a PhD in Simulation, Modelling, and Control of Engineering Systems using Artificial Intelligence.
