Alex Wixon has extensive experience in the art industry, with a particular focus on operations and registration. They started their career at APF Master Framemakers as a Project Assistant/Expeditor before working as a Gallery Director at Amos Eno Gallery. In 2011, they joined the Guggenheim Museum as a Freelance Art Handler and Registrar Intern. They then moved on to Horton Gallery as a Registrar/Archivist, and later joined Gladstone Gallery as a Registrar, Chief Registrar, and currently serves as the Director of Operations.
Alex Wixon began their education at SUNY New Paltz in 2003, where they pursued a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Painting/Drawing. Alex completed their undergraduate studies in 2007. Following this, Alex Wixon enrolled at The City College of New York in 2010 and obtained a Master of Arts degree in Art History and Museum Studies in 2013.
