Jayantha Muthukudage has extensive work experience in various roles and companies. Jayantha is currently working as a Principal Software Engineer at Givelify since February 2018. Prior to that, they worked as a Sr. Web(PHP) Engineer at Axxess from October 2016 to February 2018. At Axxess, their responsibilities included designing and developing web-based software solutions, building Asterisk telephony system with Agispeedy, and designing and developing a payment gateway RESTful API.

Before joining Axxess, Jayantha worked as a Lecturer at the University of Peradeniya from August 2015 to September 2016. Prior to that, they worked at Axxess as a PHP Engineer from May 2014 to July 2015, where they were involved in designing and developing web-based software solutions, building Asterisk telephony system with Agispeedy, and designing and developing a payment gateway RESTful API.

Jayantha also worked as a PHP Developer at Lightbeam Health Solutions from October 2013 to May 2014. Prior to that, they worked as a Research Assistant at the University of North Texas from January 2009 to June 2013. During their time there, they experimented with machine learning tools with image/video processing techniques, designed and developed tailored machine learning tools, and worked on projects such as object detection in Colonoscopy videos and camera motion estimation.

Jayantha previously worked as a Lecturer, Assistant Lecturer, and Tutor (Teaching Assistant) at the University of Peradeniya from May 2006 to January 2009. Jayantha also served as a Temporary Network Administrator at the Post Graduate Institute of Science from July 2007 to July 2008, and as a Visiting Instructor at the Information Technology Center from May 2005 to May 2006.

Jayantha Muthukudage completed their education in a systematic manner, starting with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Statistics from the University of Peradeniya, where they studied from 2002 to 2006. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Computer Science at the University of North Texas, studying from 2009 to 2012. Building upon their master's degree, Jayantha then pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Computer Science with a focus on Machine Learning/Abnormality detection in medical videos at the University of North Texas from 2012 to 2013.
