In 2012, they worked at Typesafe (now Lightbend) as a Master Thesis Project, where they extended the Scala IDE for Eclipse with search-related features. In 2012, they worked at FleetZone as a Software Developer, where they worked on a Scala web application. In 2011, they worked at IT University of Copenhagen as a Student Programmer, where they worked on a purity analysis for the Kopitiam PhD project. In 2009, they worked at Robocat as a Software Developer, where they worked on fancy 1-pagers. In 2009, they worked at 41concepts as a Software Developer, where they worked on a Scala web application. Finally, in 2008, they worked at Retouch ApS as a Frontend Developer, where they turned PSD's into functioning websites.
Mads Hartmann completed a Bachelor's degree in Software Udvikling from IT-Universitetet i København between 2008 and 2011. Mads then went on to earn a Master's degree in Computer Science from Københavns Universitet - University of Copenhagen between 2011 and 2013. In April 2017, they obtained a certification in Big Data Analysis with Scala and Spark from Coursera.
