Subashis Chakraborty is a Senior Backend Engineer at GitLab Inc. since December 2020, previously serving as a Software Engineer at Cisco from May 2014 to December 2020, where development of new features and maintenance of the Cisco Advanced Malware Protection code base were primary responsibilities. Prior to that, Subashis held roles as a Teaching Assistant and Research Assistant at the University of Calgary from 2010 to March 2014, focusing on the development of the concurrent programming language MPL. Early in the career, Subashis gained experience as a Trainee Software Engineer at Jaxara IT Ltd in Bangladesh, working with C# .NET. Subashis holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Calgary and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Engineering from Chittagong University of Engineering & Technology.
