Arun Sori is a seasoned software professional with extensive experience in backend engineering and data engineering. Currently serving as a Senior Backend Engineer at GitLab since May 2022, Arun focuses on delivering observability tools within the GitLab product, utilizing technologies such as Kubernetes Custom Resources, Kubebuilder, and ClickHouse. Prior to this, Arun held the position of Senior Data Engineer at MessageBird from November 2018 to April 2022, where responsibilities included maintaining data products and the architecture of the company’s data platform. Arun also has a background as a Data Engineer at MessageBird and as a Software Engineer at Wingify. Notable early career contributions include participation in Google Summer of Code with Mozilla and various internships that solidified foundational software development skills. Arun holds a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science from Jaypee Institute of Information Technology, earned between 2012 and 2016.
