Sergei Lukianov has a diverse work experience in the technology industry. Sergei is currently a Founding Engineer at Hedgehog, a position they started in October 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Mirantis from 2011 to 2022, holding various roles including Director of Engineering, Senior Development Manager & Architect, and Principal Software Engineer Lead. In these roles, Sergei was responsible for leading teams working on projects such as Kubernetes, Docker, Etcd, and ZooKeeper. Sergei also served as the TechLead and Community-elected Project Technical Lead at the Savanna project in OpenStack. Between 2013 and 2016, Sergei was also the Project Technical Lead (PTL) of the OpenStack Data Processing program. Before their time at Mirantis, Sergei worked as a Software Engineer at Cisco Systems, where they developed applications like Cisco Application Network Manager (ANM) and supported internal reports/charts systems. Sergei also worked as a Software Engineer at Grid Dynamics, focusing on developing internal systems and PoCs. Sergei started their career as a freelance Software Engineer in 2009.

Sergei Lukianov completed their secondary school education at VEL (Saratov) from 2005 to 2007, focusing on subjects such as Math and Economy. Following this, they pursued higher education at Saratov State University named after N.G. Chernyshevsky, where they obtained a Master's Degree in Programming and Mathematics. This educational journey spanned from 2007 to 2013.
