Murry Cave is an experienced environmental and resource management professional, currently serving as Chairperson of the NPSNZ Honours Board and Principal Scientist at Gisborne District Council, where responsibilities have expanded to lead the new Integrated Catchments Group. Murry has a robust background in research and consultancy, having owned Resource Solutions from 1998 to 2021, and previously worked as a consultant for the Department of Conservation and in senior consulting roles at Ernst and Young. Murry’s career includes significant contributions to the Ministry of Energy, where leadership roles involved restructuring initiatives and database integration efforts related to New Zealand's energy and mineral resources. Murry holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Geology from The University of Auckland.
