Thomas Harley has a diverse work experience with a focus on business intelligence and data warehouse architecture. Thomas began their career as a Programmer Analyst at IBM, where they developed ETL mappings and decision support applications. Thomas then worked as a Principal Consultant at eScholar, leading the early development of their data warehouse solution for K-12 education. At Empire Analysts, they served as a Principal Consultant and played a key role in designing and building a financial data warehouse for Sodexo. Thomas also worked at Oracle Corporation as a Data Warehouse Architect and Consulting Technical Manager, where they performed hardware sizing for BI implementations and optimized data warehouse databases. Thomas later joined Guident Technologies as a Business Intelligence Architect, designing and implementing real-time dimensional data warehouses. Prior to their current position as Sr. Director of Enterprise Data Architect at Girl Scouts of the USA, they worked at Intricity as a Sr. Architect, where they architected a new data warehouse integrating various customer and retail data sources. Throughout their career, Thomas has demonstrated their expertise in data architecture, ETL processes, performance tuning, and training and certification.
Thomas Harley has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics, German, and Computer Science from Wake Forest University, which they obtained between 1991 and 1993. Thomas also holds a Master of Divinity (MDiv) and a Master of Arts in Christian Education from Union Presbyterian Seminary, earned from 2006 to 2010. In addition, they pursued engineering studies at Cornell University from 1987 to 1990, although no degree was specified. Furthermore, Thomas has obtained multiple certifications from Snowflake, including SnowPro Advanced: Architect and SnowPro Core Certification.
