Jessie M. is a Grants Specialist at Girl Scouts Heart of Michigan, contributing skills in grant management and program development since August 2023. Previously, Jessie served as the Family Support Program Specialist - Team Lead at Child Care Network from July 2016 to June 2022, where responsibilities included administering a need-based childcare scholarship program and providing case management services to families. Jessie also gained experience as a Graduate Student Intern at Synod Community Services, focusing on the Washtenaw ID Project, and as a Temporary Volunteer Coordinator at SafeHouse Center, enhancing volunteer engagement and community outreach. Earlier roles included teaching English as a Foreign Language and assisting in a pre-kindergarten classroom. Educational achievements include a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor’s Degree in Latin American Studies, Spanish Language & Literature, and Anthropology/Sociology from Kalamazoo College.
