Shmuel Gleizer is a Senior Organism Engineer 1 at Ginkgo Bioworks, Inc., having advanced from Organism Engineer 3 since joining in January 2021. Prior to this role, Shmuel served as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Weizmann Institute of Science from December 2018 to August 2020, and as an Intelligence Analyst at the Israeli Military Intelligence from October 2005 to September 2012. Shmuel holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biology/Biological Sciences from the Weizmann Institute of Science, completed in 2018, a Master of Science (MSc) in Biology/Biological Sciences from the same institution, earned in 2014, and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biotechnology Engineering from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, obtained in 2005.
