Umar Syed, MS, has accumulated extensive experience in clinical operations and trial management since 2012. Currently serving at Gilead Sciences in Clinical Operations, Umar previously held the position of Clinical Trial Manager at Actinium Pharmaceuticals, Inc., and was Clinical Operations Manager at the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation. Prior to these roles, Umar worked at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, where responsibilities included overseeing a clinical trial patient screening program focused on breast cancer and contributing to data collection and analysis to improve trial accruals. Umar's early experience includes serving as a Clinical Research Coordinator and conducting investigative research on Lyme disease at Binghamton University, where an undergraduate award was received for biomedical research. Umar holds a Master’s Degree in Biology from New York Medical College and a Bachelor of Science in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology from Binghamton University.
