Edward Hsieh is a Senior Research Scientist II at Gilead Sciences, specializing in mass spectrometry and protein therapeutic candidate characterization since September 2019. Previously, Edward served as a Senior Scientist at Amgen, focusing on MHC Class II peptide proteomics and protein biotransformation methods. Edward's experience also includes a position as Associate Principal Scientist at Merck, where responsibilities involved developing assays for drug candidate selection and mass spectrometry techniques. Earlier research roles include work at the Institute for Systems Biology and the University of Washington, where Edward contributed to advancements in proteomics and protein turnover studies. Edward holds a PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from UCLA and a BS in Biochemistry and Computer Science from California State University, Los Angeles.
