Julie Leftwich serves as the Legal Director for Americans for Responsible Solutions and the Law Center to Prevent Gun Violence, a position held since 1994. With over two decades of experience, Julie supervises national legal efforts and has significantly contributed to the development and drafting of state and local gun laws across California and the United States, frequently testifying in support of these laws. Prior to this role, Julie held positions as Senior Counsel at Long & Levit LLP from 1987 to 1995 and as a Litigation Associate at Tarkington, O’Connor & O’Neill from 1983 to 1987. Julie's educational background includes degrees from the University of California, Berkeley and the University of California, Davis - School of Law.
