James Harcourt, a Grad IRM, has a diverse work experience in risk management and underwriting. James started their career as a Junior Underwriter at Partnership in 2007, where they gained experience in service delivery, sales, and analysis. James then progressed to the role of Senior Underwriter, where they had the authority to make significant underwriting decisions and mentor junior underwriters. Harcourt later joined Just Group plc as a Long Term Care Team Manager, overseeing both UK and US operations. James also served as a Risk & Governance Manager, leading the risk management strategy for the Operations department. In this role, they developed the company's first automated risk report using Power BI. Harcourt's most recent position was at giffgaff, where they held roles as Risk Manager and Head of Risk Management. In these positions, they created a Risk Management Maturity model and completed quantitative analysis of the organization's risk register.
