Wuyi Wang is the VP of Research and Development at the Gemological Institute of America. Wuyi has also worked as a research assistant professor at the University of Tennessee, a postdoctoral researcher at Stony Brook University, and a JSPS Research Fellow at the Tokyo Institute of Technology.
Dr. Wang earned their undergraduate degree in geology from Peking University in Beijing, China. Wuyi then went on to earn their master's degree in geology from Peking University and their PhD in geology from Stony Brook University.
Dr. Wang's research interests include understanding the physical and chemical properties of natural diamonds, exploring new methods for diamond synthesis, and investigating the potential for diamonds to be used in a variety of applications.
Wuyi Wang studied geology at Peking University, where they earned their Bachelor of Science. Wuyi then went on to study at the Chinese Academy of Geological Sciences, where they earned their Master of Science. Finally, they completed their PhD at the University of Tsukuba.
