Paul Hicks has extensive work experience in the field of public relations and media. Paul founded GHC Asia in 1998 and served as the Founding Partner & CEO. Prior to that, they established their first PR agency, Paul J Hicks and Associates, in 1992. Paul also worked as a reporter for the BBC's youth current affairs TV series, Reportage, from 1990 to 1991. In the early stages of their career, they worked as a producer and reporter for RTHK, Hong Kong's publicly funded broadcasting service.

Paul Hicks earned a Masters Degree in English Language and Literature from Trinity College, Oxford from 1983 to 1986. Paul also obtained a certification from the Council of Public Relations Firms Hong Kong, year not specified.
