Padraig O'Grady has over 29 years of experience in the clinical research field. Padraig has held various roles in the industry, beginning in 1992 with a role as Clinical Research/Human Pharmacology at Bristol-Myers Squibb in Waterloo, Belgium. Padraig then moved to ICON Clinical Research in 2002 as Director of Clinical Operations. In 2007, they were appointed Head of Clinical Operations at sanofi-aventis Ireland Ltd. After this, they held the role of Clinical Programme Manager at Opsona Therapeutics Ltd. from 2011 to 2014. Padraig then moved to Heart Metabolics Ltd. as Clinical Research Director in 2014. In 2017, they became Senior Director, Clinical Research and Development at Recro Ireland Ltd. Following this, they worked as a Freelance Clinical Operations Manager/Director & Medical Writer from 2019 to 2020. In 2020, they took on the role of Head of Clinical Operations at Cancer Trials Ireland. Most recently, they have been working as a Freelance Clinical Research Contractor and Clinical Research Project Manager at GH Research since 2021.
Padraig O'Grady attended University of Galway from 1979 to 1988, where they earned their PhD in Microbiology.
