Fiona Ryan has a diverse work experience in the healthcare and pharmaceutical industries. Fiona began their career as a Consultant Pharmacist at Infomed Ltd in 2006 and also worked as a Locum Pharmacist at O'Sullivans Pharmacy Group Cork from 2006 to 2012. Fiona then served as a Research Pharmacist (PhD) at University College Cork, Ireland, from 2006 to 2010.
From 2010 to 2013, Fiona worked at Solvotrin Therapeutics - Active Iron as the Director of Scientific Research, where they provided scientific support, managed clinical trial-related activities, and maintained effective communication with site staff.
Fiona then joined PharmaLex in 2013 as the Head of GVP and GCP, where they oversaw pharmacovigilance activities and ensured compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) standards.
In 2014, Fiona worked at IQVIA as a Senior Account Delivery Manager, where they managed customer interfaces, project finances, and various project start-up activities.
Fiona joined The Heartbeat Trust in 2015 as a Clinical Trial Manager, later becoming the Senior Clinical Trial Manager. In this role, they directed clinical research activities, prepared trial-related documentation, managed deviations and CAPAs, and handled regulatory authority and ethics committee applications and amendments. Fiona was also responsible for serious adverse event data processing and reporting, as well as vendor selection and management.
Additionally, Fiona held the position of Product Information Specialist, Safety Manager, and Complaints Manager at Solvotrin Therapeutics - Active Iron from 2015 to 2021. Fiona managed product safety and handled customer complaints.
Most recently, Fiona joined GH Research in 2021 as a Clinical Project Manager, where they are currently responsible for managing clinical projects.
Fiona Ryan pursued their education starting with a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from the University of Bradford, which they earned from 1995 to 1999. Subsequently, from 1999 to 2001, they obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical (hospital) Pharmacy from the University of Bradford. Fiona then went on to complete a PhD in Pharmacy Practice at University College Cork from 2006 to 2010. Most recently, Fiona pursued a Master's degree in Clinical and Translational Research, specializing in MSc, at University College Dublin, where they studied from 2017 to 2019.
