Ethan Spencer is an experienced associate research scientist currently employed at GH Labs since June 2021, where responsibilities include evaluating staining solutions for parasitic helminth eggs and refining oligonucleotide purification processes. Prior roles included serving as a bioassay development intern and diagnostics intern at GH Labs, where contributions involved preparing reagents for SARS-CoV-2 detection. Before that, at the Environmental and Occupational Health Microbiology Lab, Ethan volunteered as an undergraduate, performing growth curve analyses and disinfection studies. Earlier internship experiences at Intellectual Ventures focused on developing phage-based diagnostic tests. Ethan holds a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from the University of Washington and an Associate of Arts from Green River College.
