Tonny B. Thomsen is a Senior Research Scientist and Laboratory Manager specializing in laser ablation ICP-MS and ICP-OES techniques, currently employed at GEUS since May 2012. Previous roles include Manager of the LA-ICP-MS laboratory at Stockholm University and a PostDoc researcher in Petrology and LA-ICP-MS at the University of Bern. Education includes a PhD in Geology from ETH Zürich and an M.Sc. in Geology from Aarhus University. Early career experiences include geological project management, editing a geological magazine, and field geologist roles focusing on geotechnical and geophysical investigations.
