Simon Stisen is a highly experienced academic and researcher in the fields of remote sensing and hydrology. Since September 2019, Simon has served as a Professor at GEUS, where a research focus is applied to hydrological processes. Simon has also worked at the Geological Survey of Denmark and Greenland (GEUS) since 2007, initially as a Senior Scientist and previously as a Researcher. A Visiting Researcher role was held at the University of New South Wales in 2010. Simon completed a PhD in Remote Sensing and Hydrology from the University of Copenhagen from 2003 to 2007 and holds a Master of Science in Environmental Engineering from the Technical University of Denmark. Further education includes studies at Universitat Politècnica de València and Viborg Katedralskole.
