Maksim Karabashev has a diverse work experience, with their most recent role being as a Senior Software Engineer at Ivy since August 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Software Engineer at Klarna from March 2020 to August 2022. Before that, they held a Software Engineer position at Forto from August 2017 to March 2020. Maksim also had an opportunity to work as a Blue Book Trainee at the European Commission from October 2016 to February 2017.

Maksim Karabashev pursued their higher education by earning a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Political Science and Government from Ramapo College of New Jersey. Maksim attended this institution from 2005 to 2009. Subsequently, they enrolled at the University of Chicago - Committee on International Relations between 2010 and 2012, where they obtained a Master of Arts (MA) degree in International Relations with a specialization in International Political Economy.
