Alex Chamia is a Clinical Cardiac Perfusionist at Gertrude’s Children’s Hospital since February 2023, specializing in cardiac open heart surgery. As a Director at Bloomingdale Planners Ltd since September 2011, Alex oversees investment management, project portfolio management, strategic planning, financing, creative design, and event production. Prior experience includes serving as a Clinical Cardiac Perfusionist Fellow at Gertrude’s Children’s Hospital from February 2017 to December 2022, a General Practitioner at Mayfair Health Services from July 2014 to June 2015, and as a Partner and Lead Clinician of the HIV/AIDS Program at M-care from July 2012 to February 2013. Additionally, Alex worked as the Lead Clinician for the HIV/AIDS Program and cardiac technician at The Karen Hospital from June 2009 to May 2012, and completed a medical internship at Thika District Hospital in 2008. Alex holds a GCCVTS in Perfusion Science from the Institute Jantung Negara, obtained in 2023, along with other medical education credentials.
