Leslie Mooi is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in intellectual property, currently serving as Vice President of Intellectual Property at Geron Corporation since September 2007. Previous roles at Geron Corporation include Executive Director and Senior I.P. Counsel. Prior to this position, Leslie Mooi practiced as Special Counsel at Heller Ehrman LLP and held senior patent counsel positions at both Sugen, Inc. and Hyseq, Inc. Early career experience includes an associate role at Burns, Doane, Swecker & Mathis LLP. Academic qualifications include a Juris Doctor from the University of Toronto, complemented by a Master of Science in Molecular Genetics and a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology, both also from the University of Toronto.
