Heike Hoffmann has a diverse work experience in various fields. Heike started their career in 1999 as an Assistant in Service Syndicat d´Initiative et Jumelage at Town Hall La Madeleine. Heike then worked as an Assistant for public relations and communication (Trainee) at Medico International in 2003. In 2002, they became a Parliamentary Assistant for Michael Müller at Deutscher Bundestag. From 2005 to 2006, they worked as a Research Assistant in Human Rights and Development (Trainee) at the Center for Development Research (ZEF). Heike then joined the Friedrich Ebert Foundation as an Assistant for research and civic education (Trainee) in 2006. After that, they worked as a Research Trainee in DG External Policies/MENA-Region at the European Parliament in 2010. Heike also worked as a Coordinator MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, Events) at Resotel in 2011. In the same year, they joined Germany Trade & Invest as a Manager in Development Cooperation and Public Procurement (EU External Action), and later became the Director of the Brussels Office in 2015. Since 2007, they have also worked as a Trainer in non-formal education and intercultural training at Europa-Haus Leipzig/Sächsische Landeszentrale für politische Bildung/Gemeinsam für Afrika e.V.
Heike Hoffmann's education history includes a Diploma in Political Science and Government as well as Administrative Science, which they obtained from the University of Leipzig (2004-2010). Prior to that, they earned a Certificat D'Etudes Politiques in International Relations and Affairs from Institut d´Etudes Politiques (2003-2004). Heike completed a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Government at the University of Marburg (2001-2003), and before that, they obtained another Bachelor's degree in Public Law from the University of Gießen (1999-2001).
