Dr. Dilek Mercan currently serves as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the German Center for Neurodegenerative Diseases (DZNE) since May 2022. Prior to this role, Dilek completed a PhD as a graduate student at University Hospital Bonn from June 2013 to October 2021. Dilek's academic journey began with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology and Genetics from Istanbul University from 2005 to 2009, followed by a Master of Science in Genetics and Bioengineering from Yeditepe University from 2009 to 2011, culminating in a PhD in Neuroscience from the University of Bonn. Dilek's early research experience includes a position as a Research Assistant at Yeditepe University from June 2010 to September 2011.
