Johannes Schmid is an experienced IT Service and Operations Manager and Software Developer at GeoVille Information Systems and Data Processing GmbH since November 2016. Johannes has a background in programming with Python and expertise in OpenCV approaches, developed during a Master's program and further practice. Prior experience includes a role as a Student Assistant at Esri Deutschland, focusing on the suitability of Sentinel-2 data for land cover change monitoring, and serving as a Tutor for Geoinformation Systems at Leopold-Franzens Universität Innsbruck. Johannes initially freelanced for GeoVille in 2015, handling tasks related to satellite data, QGIS analytics, and cartographic visualization. Educational qualifications comprise a Master of Science in Geography from Universität Innsbruck, along with academic experiences abroad in Urban Planning and Remote Sensing at the University of New Orleans and coursework in Geography at Stockholm University.
