Owen Lee has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries.
Starting in 2008, Lee worked as a Data Processor at JCB, where they analyzed mechanical faults associated with JCB machinery and conducted data processing projects on thermoplastic fuel tanks.
In 2011, Lee served as a Research Assistant at the University of Leeds, focusing on the sedimentary stratigraphy hosting placer gold deposits and conducting field observations and data collection.
Lee then joined Canadian Natural Resources Limited (CNRL) as a Summer Student in 2012, conducting a research project on the deep structure and tectono-stratigraphic evolution of the North Sea.
In the same year, Lee took on a part-time role as a Social Media Coordinator at GEO ExPro, where they successfully developed social media platforms, increased followers, and stimulated conversations in the areas of Geoscience and Technology.
Since 2012, Lee has been employed at Geoteric, starting as a Sales Support Geoscientist and eventually progressing to roles such as Business Development Geoscientist, Business Development Manager, and Global Account Manager. In these positions, Lee was responsible for managing territories, developing market share, building relationships with clients, and achieving sales targets. Owen also held senior leadership roles such as VP Global Sales and SVP Global Sales, where they oversaw global sales teams, developed account strategies, implemented sales initiatives, and worked with the CEO to define sales targets and KPIs.
Currently, Lee holds the position of SVP Global Sales & Marketing at Geoteric, where they continue to lead the sales and marketing efforts on a global scale.
Owen Lee completed their education at the University of Leeds. Owen obtained their BSc (Hons) in Geological Sciences from 2008 to 2011. Later, they pursued an MSc in Structural Geology with Geophysics from 2011 to 2012, still at the University of Leeds.
