Jessie George has extensive experience in the field of human resources. They most recently worked as the Vice President of Human Resources at Georgia's Own Credit Union, starting in May 2022. Prior to that, Jessie held the position of Director of Human Resources at the same company since March 2019.
Before joining Georgia's Own Credit Union, Jessie served as a People Business Partner (HRBP) at Virgin America from December 2012 to August 2017. In this role, they acted as a business partner for various client groups, providing coaching, training, and development support to leaders at all levels of the organization.
Jessie also co-founded Be: Business.Engaged., where they designed and delivered custom leadership programs for Fortune 500 clients in the Bay Area. This role, which focused on utilizing emotional intelligence, mindfulness, and intrinsic motivation, lasted from August 2014 to December 2016.
Prior to that, Jessie worked at The Home Depot, initially serving as an HR Manager from April 2005 to June 2008. They later became an Employee Relations Manager in June 2008, and eventually a District Human Resources Manager from March 2009 to June 2010. During their time at The Home Depot, Jessie led a customer service change management initiative and was responsible for talent management, employee relations, and employee development in their district.
At the start of their career, Jessie established the Human Resources department at IPOWER, a high-growth start-up. As the Human Resources Director from July 2002 to February 2005, they developed policies, procedures, and benefits, and implemented company-wide HR standards and practices.

Jessie George attended the University of Colorado Boulder and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing and International Business. Additionally, they pursued a professional designation in Human Resources at UCLA and studied Social Sciences at the University of Buenos Aires. Jessie also holds certifications including Co-Active Coach from Coaches Training Institute (CTI), Employee Engagement from Disney Institute, HR Transformation from eCornell, SPHR from HR Certification Institute - HRCI, and Yoga Teacher Training from Yoga Alliance.
