Michael Armstrong, PhD (he/him/his)

Michael Armstrong, PhD (he/him/his) has a diverse range of work experience. Michael most recently served as the Chief Operating Officer at the Georgia Campaign for Adolescent Power and Potential since July 2020. Prior to that, they held various roles at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta, including Vice President of Strategy & Insights, Vice President of Club Operations, and Vice President of Evaluation & Measurement. At the Boys & Girls Clubs, they managed operations, budgets, and staff, and oversaw the opening of new sites and facilities. Michael also implemented performance management systems, data analysis tools, and continuous quality improvement strategies. Before that, they worked as a Program Evaluator for the Georgia Department of Public Health, evaluating tobacco use prevention programs. Michael also founded and operated a consulting firm called Community Research and Evaluation Consultants (CERCA), where they provided program evaluation and research services to non-profits and government agencies. Through CERCA, they helped clients improve compliance, processes, and program outcomes.

Michael Armstrong, PhD (he/him/his) holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Community Psychology from Georgia State University. Prior to their doctoral studies, they obtained a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Psychology, also from Georgia State University. Michael completed their undergraduate education at Emory University, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science.
