John Masson has extensive experience in life support systems and animal care, currently serving as the Director of Life Support Systems and Animal Care Facility at Georgia Aquarium since April 2006. John's career at Georgia Aquarium also includes roles as Senior Manager and Manager of Life Support Systems, where responsibilities include oversight of water clarity and system functionality for aquatic inhabitants. Prior to this, John held various managerial and technical positions in the pet and animal care industries, including roles at PETCO Animal Supplies and The Pet Store Inc. John also has a strong background in scientific research, having worked as a research biologist with U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the Florida Alligator Research Team. John holds a Bachelor's degree in Geology and Marine Sciences from The University of Georgia.
