Anjana Viswanatha

Faculty, Continuing Education - Hospitality at George Brown College

Anjana Viswanatha is a dedicated professional in the fields of wine education and hospitality, currently serving as part-time faculty in the Wine Specialist program at George Brown College since 2017. As Principal and Sommelier at Wednesday Night Wine, Anjana specializes in wine writing, marketing, customized wine education, and the design and management of wine cellars. Anjana held the position of Philanthropic Partnerships Manager for Canopy, an environmental non-profit, from September 2022 to July 2024. Previous roles include PR & Communications at The Vine Agency, writer at Vitis - Ontario Wine Culture, columnist for Modern Mississauga Media, and General Manager & Sommelier at Bacchanal. Anjana's extensive education includes a Ph.D. in English Language and Literature and multiple credentials in sommelier qualifications.
