Charles Taylor has held various significant roles at Drury University since 1997, including Major Gifts Officer, Professor of Communication, Program Director for the MA in Communication, Faculty Athletics Representative, and VP for Academic Affairs. Previously, Charles served as an Associate Professor of Communication and was a Board Member for Springfield Missouri Public Schools from April 2016 to April 2022. Charles also spent time at Indiana University from 1990 to 1997 as an Assistant/Associate Professor of Communication/Culture and Director of Undergraduate Studies. Charles earned a Ph.D. in Speech Communication from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign between 1985 and 1990.
