Alberto Benigni is an accomplished procurement professional with extensive experience in managing complex supply chains and a diverse range of materials. Currently serving as the Head of Procurement Mechanics at Georg Fischer since December 2017, Alberto oversees a global supplier portfolio exceeding 400 vendors with an annual spend of 120 million CHF across seven plants in Switzerland, Sweden, China, and the US. Previously, Alberto held roles such as Regional Commodity Manager for Sheet Metal at Schneider Electric and Purchasing Plant Manager at Gexpro, part of Rexel Spa. Alberto's educational background includes a Master of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering and a Bachelor of Engineering in Industrial Engineering, both from Università degli Studi di Firenze, along with a Diploma in Electronic and Telecommunications from the technical school "Tullio Buzzi."
