Xavier Jetson has been in the workforce since 2004, starting as a Shift Supervisor at Norilsk Nickel. Xavier then moved to Straits Resources Limited in 2007 as a Process Superintendent. In 2010, they joined Barrick Gold Corporation, where they held the roles of Health and Safety Manager and Safety and Training Superintendent. In 2017, they became Manager Employee Development at Porgera Joint Venture, and in 2021 they were appointed HR and Training Manager at Geopacific Resources Limited.

Xavier Jetson attended Launceston Church Grammar from 1994 to 2000.
