Kathrin Krüger-Borgwardt currently serves as the Head of Research Funding and Transfer and Head of Technology Transfer at GEOMAR Helmholtz-Zentrum für Ozeanforschung Kiel, a position held since November 2022. Since April 2016, Kathrin has been the Managing Partner at Auxicon. Previously, from January 2010 to October 2022, Kathrin held positions as Managing Director and Research Associate at Zentrum für Entrepreneurship Rostock, and from March 2020 to October 2022, Kathrin was an Adviser to the Mayor of Hanse-und Universitätsstadt Rostock, focusing on innovation and digitalization. Kathrin coordinated strategic planning at Digitales Innovationszentrum Rostock from November 2019 to July 2022 and worked as a Management Assistant at Team Europe Ventures from September 2008 to January 2010. Kathrin holds a Diplom in Business Administration from Universität Rostock and has been actively involved in topics such as Smile City Rostock, startups, digital innovation, and the intersection of academia and science.
