Longying Xiao is a Senior Scientist at the Geological Survey of Finland (GTK), a position held since March 2022, and previously served as a Postdoctoral Researcher. Longying Xiao's academic qualifications include a Ph.D. in Geological/Geophysical Engineering from Aarhus University (2018-2021), a Master's degree in Geological/Geophysical Engineering from Ocean University of China (2015-2018), and a Bachelor's degree in Geoscience and Technology from Central South University (2011-2015). Additional training includes winter courses in High Performance Computing at the Technical University of Denmark in early 2019 and participation in a summer school on Mediterranean marine studies at the University of Haifa in 2017. Prior experience includes working as a Research Assistant at Central South University in June 2015.
