Marco Wey has had a diverse work experience in various companies. Marco started their career at Holcim Schweiz/Suisse/Svizzera in 2012 as Head CapEx & Projects. Marco then became the Maintenance Manager at the Cement Plant Siggenthal before leaving in 2016. In 2017, they joined Geocycle as the Business Development & Performance Manager for the Region Zentral. Since 2023, they have been the Head of Sales & Performance for Schweiz, Süddeutschland, and Haut-Rhin at Geocycle. In 2020, they also took on the role of Geschäftsführer at Neue Plastrec AG.

Marco Wey's education history begins with a Lehrabschluss Polymechaniker degree from ABB Lernzentren Baden, which they completed from 1999 to 2003. Marco then attended IBZ Schulen für Technik Informatik Wirtschaft Brugg from 2007 to 2010, where they obtained a Dipl. Techniker HF Maschinenbau degree in the field of Maschinenbautechnik/Maschinentechnik/Techniker.

In 2012, Marco Wey enrolled in the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland FHNW, where they pursued a MAS Business Engineering Management degree until 2014. The field of study for this degree is not specified.

Most recently, in 2019, Marco Wey attended the Executive School at Universität St.Gallen (HSG) to complete a CAS degree in Recycling Management.
