Jim Besaw currently serves as Principal and Chief Investment Officer at GenTrust, an SEC Registered Investment Adviser specializing in investment and wealth management for family offices and ultra high net worth individuals since June 2011. Before joining GenTrust, Jim held the position of Head of Business Development at Element Capital Management from June 2009 to October 2012, a prominent global macro hedge fund. Additionally, Jim garnered extensive experience in interest rate options trading at Barclays Capital and JPMorgan Chase between 1998 and 2008, focusing on various trading strategies. Jim holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics and Economics from Yale University, earned in 1998.
