Roland Scollay has a wealth of experience in the biotech and drug development fields. Roland began their career in 2003 as the Director of Commercialisation for Monash University Medical Faculty. In 2005, they became the CEO of Metabolic Pharmaceuticals Ltd. In 2008, they moved to CSL Limited as the Head of New Product Sourcing. From 2010 to 2011, they worked as an independent consultant in biotech and drug development and small company management. From 2011 to 2012, they were the Head of GenSight Asia Pacific and also served as a Board Member and Chair of the Scientific Advisory Council for Biomedical Research Victoria (formerly Bio 21 Cluster). During this same time period, they were also the Director of Strategic Projects for Monash University Berwick Campus and a Member of the Cell & Gene Therapy Committee for Therapeutic Innovation Australia. Since 2018, they have been a Professor, Academic Program Director, and STEMM Hub development at the University of Melbourne, Faculty of Science.
Roland Scollay received training in Business Management from Stanford University and Harvard University. Roland also holds a BSc (Hons I) and a PhD from The Australian National University.
